Thanksgiving has come and gone. Now what?

Hello GYM family! We hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving with family, friends, some down time, and good food....
Good food....about that, did you go a little crazy? And did you skip your workout? No worries. Remember, don't get derailed with your goals. No, you will not gain 5 pounds or even 3 because you overindulged for a single day.

So what should you do now that you think you've ruined your life with turkey and yams?
1. don't beat yourself up or stress.
2.get back to your fitness routine as normal.
3.It never happened. That's right. Carry on as usual. Adding stress or trying to make up for a lost workout or majorly cut calories for days to even out your holiday food disaster will only lead to burnout or injury, or another over eating episode due to cutting way back on calories.

A tip you can use for the next holiday:
What I do on holidays is get my behind out of bed earlier than normal and I get myself together and immediately go get my workout done. The trick on busy holidays is to hit the ground running for 25-30 mins. So I do HIIT on those days. I can blast off tons of calories in 25 mins if I'm moving at the speed of sound or even if you can't move that fast, perform the exercises correctly and put muscles under tension, get your heart rate up, and you'll get the same result. This will rev your metabolism as well and you'll be ready for those  festive meals. In fact, with high intensity training, you'll continue to burn extra calories long after you're done with your workout. It's short and effective leaving plenty of time to run around like a chicken with your head cut off on holidays.
To sum it up:
-Get up early and go workout
-25-30 mins of HIIT or high intensity exercise. =workout done

Try it on Christmas, write out some total body exercises, preferably exercises that will engage all muscles at once and then alternate through them as quickly as you can with proper form. You won't be disappointed. Stay tuned in to our blog and I may post a holiday workout to make it even easier for you. Your welcome. Have an awesome day.
